Mutually Beneficial Cooperation Established Between Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex and Tashkent State University of Economics

This initiative aims to deepen integration between the mining and metallurgical industry and higher education institutions, as well as strengthen scientific and practical cooperation.

It is worth noting that in recent years, the mining and metallurgical sector in Uzbekistan has been developing steadily and gaining increasing strategic importance. Today, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC, recognized as a leader in Uzbekistan’s non-ferrous metallurgy industry, employs more than 38,000 specialists representing over 40 nationalities and ethnic groups.

With more than 70 years of operational history, the complex has played an important role in the country’s economic development. Its production potential is based on copper-molybdenum, lead-zinc, gold, and silver deposits located in the Tashkent, Jizzakh, Namangan, and Surkhandarya regions.

As part of the cooperation, an opening ceremony was held for the branch of the Department of Innovative Management of Tashkent State University of Economics at the facilities of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC.

The event was attended by the management and leading specialists of the complex, as well as professors, teaching staff, and students of Tashkent State University of Economics.
