📚 Masterclass on Developing Students’ Strategic Thinking and Practical Management Skills

On October 12, 2026, Professors M.G. Umarxodjayeva and Z.A. Ashurov, together with Acting Associate Professor K.A. Nasirova of the Department of Innovative Management, conducted a masterclass for third-year students of groups MNP-11 and MNP-12 enrolled in the Management (by Industry and Sector) programme. The session was held as part of the Strategic Management course and focused on “Formulating Corporate Strategies and Identifying Organizational Growth Directions.”

🔹 During the session, participants explored the essence of corporate strategy, diversification, vertical integration, the Ansoff Matrix, portfolio management, and the main growth strategies available to organizations.

🔹 As a practical case study, the participants conducted a strategic analysis of Uzbekistan’s textile industry. They discussed promising development opportunities, including expanding the existing market, entering new export markets, developing ready-made garment production, creating private brands, leveraging e-commerce opportunities, and introducing additional services.

🎯 The primary objective of the masterclass was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application while developing students’ skills in conducting strategic analysis, evaluating business profitability, identifying risks, formulating effective strategic decisions, and making informed choices regarding organizational growth directions.

☑ Such practical sessions help strengthen students’ strategic thinking, enhance their ability to address real-world business challenges, and prepare them to become competitive managers equipped to meet the demands of the modern economy.
