“Jadids: Ideas of National Identity, Independence and Statehood”

 

🗣 On February 24 of the current year, an educational roundtable discussion on the topic “Jadids: Ideas of National Identity, Independence and Statehood” was held at the Department of Innovative Management of Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE).

The event was organized by Associate Professor Magruba Khidirova and Nilufar Sobirova.

☄️ The honored guest of the event was Ruslan Maratovich Saliyev, director of the documentary film “Dreamers”, dedicated to the history of the Jadid movement. The film highlights the Jadid movement, its noble ideas of national revival, independence and statehood, as well as the selfless efforts of its representatives in the pursuit of enlightenment and education.

It is noteworthy that in June 2024, the film won the award for “Best Educational Film” at the World Film Festival, held in Cannes, France.

During the roundtable discussion, students gained comprehensive insights into the historical significance of the Jadid movement and its close connection with contemporary spiritual and educational processes. The participants also discussed the ideas of the Jadids and their contribution to the development of national education, culture and public consciousness.
